 Today was another chill day in class. We started typing our story so basically getting it together because yesterday we did the rough draft. I’m still a little lost with the myth we’re supposed to be writing but we got an example of how it should be today. That help a little it helped me start it off. I hope we don’t get another assignment like this cause this not it. I have to finish this weekend unfortunately and I have to work so I don’t know how but it’ll get done. My weekend should be pretty chill and boring I don’t have anything planned so. 

 In class today we just started our story. First we went over it as a class so everybody could better understand the assignments. Then we just went off on our own and started a rough draft for a myth stories. I still don’t fully understand the assignments but i’m slow getting there. I had some ideas so hopefully I can use them.

 

 So today we did a warm up on Native American. The warm up asked what do we know about Native Americans. I really couldn’t remember anything about them so I just put that I know Cherokee is a groups of them. After the warm up we talked about it and then took notes. Then we read something  about Native Americans and had a discussion about that.

 So today in class we just took a test. Our test was on the last few poem we had read in class. The first part was real smooth and easy but the second part was just confusing. The first part was multiple choice so I figure it wasn’t going to be to hard. I made a 92.  The second part was constructive response it was two and they really just didn’t make since to me that’s why i was confused. Overall that’s all we did in class today.

 In class we did two kahoot’s for the warm up. The person who won got a free homework or test pass. After the kahoot’s we did some book work with our vocabulary words for the week. That was really it Thursday’s usually are chill in class because we don’t go over anything new. Tomorrow we have to take a test so let’s see how that’s going to go.

 Today in class first we did a warm up on advice. The warm up stated name a time when your mother gave you advice and what was it. The warm up of course connected to lesson for the day which was reading a poem by Langston Hughes called “Mother to Son”. We split up into two groups and read the poem and analyze and made connections. At the end we went over it and each group presented.

Today I didn’t go to school because I didn’t feel well. I really just stayed at home in bed all day it was raining pretty bad anyways. I did get to finally catch up on my shows. I haven’t had time to catch up on my shows for a while because of school and work. So I watched tv and slept all day I had i pretty chill good day.

 Today in class it was real simple. First we took a test on the vocabulary words that we got on Monday. I did pretty good on it I got a 80. It was on a decent level it wasn’t to hard or to easy. After the test we took a pre assessment and that was it for today’s class really simple and chill Friday.

Thursday in class the lights where out for the first15 minutes so we just did a little review. Then once they came back on we read a short story called “The House”. At first it was pointless and had no purpose but, then Mr. Rease gave us a point of view to look at the story from and it started to come together and make more sense. We looked at the story from two different points of view. The first one was if someone was to rob the house, so we underlined things people would take or use as an advantage to rob “The House”. The second point of view was if someone wanted to buy the house so we did the same thing underlined things people would love or look for if they were to buying it. At the end of class we just took notes on informal and formal.

 Today is class we did a warm up on temptation. In the warm up we had to define temptation and write about a time we were tempted. What we did in the warm up related to the work period. To start off the work period we read a 2 pac song called “Resist the Temptation”. As the teacher read we followed along and he had us say some of the words in the song. Afterward we went through the song and analyzed some of the lines in it so we could better understand. Finally we just listened to the song altogether in class. 

 Hey my name is Tyasia Simmons and I’m in 11th grade. Some of the things I like to do is make money and go shopping. One of my expectations for this school year is to have all a’s and b’s the entire time both semesters. Another one of my expectations is to turn all my assignments in on time. My last expectation for this school year is to just enjoy it and don’t over work myself.
